With 37 years of construction experience, Barak brings extensive knowledge, trainings, and attention to detail as an Estimator at Grey Interiors.
From starting as an apprentice framer to training over 3 dozen estimators, who are still successful in the industry today, Barak prides himself on a focus of safety, quality, and keeping each project within budget.
Having a wife and one grown child himself, Barak enjoys working within the family aspect that Grey Interiors’ culture offers.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time in the gym or at the beach, reading, watching movies, and giving back to his community through volunteer work.
Brent brings 20+ years’ experience in construction industry experience. He realized he had a natural talent for building and managing projects early in his career. Brent’s dedication to quality and excellence have enabled him to move from Laborer to Carpenter and then to Project Superintendent in a short period of time.
As a Project Superintendent, you will find Brent either working hands-on or directing a team of 10+ contractors. He is recognized for his strong work ethic and perseverance to ensure successful completion of all his projects. Brent has successfully completed the OSHA 30-Hour training and scaffold safety training courses.
In his free time, Brent enjoys spending time with his wife and children. You can often find him enjoying his weekends hunting and fishing.
Chris has 15+ years’ experience in the walls and ceiling industry. He has worked at every level and every phase of commercial and healthcare construction. In the early 2000’s, Chris started his career as a framer on several educational and institutional commercial projects. He later branched into field superintendent, project management, and estimating.
In 2012, Chris led the establishment and startup of Grey Interiors, LLC and now serves as Chief Operating Officer. He has paved the way to set a higher standard of quality throughout all his projects and the communities he serves. Chris drives staff performance by leading through example, setting expectations, and identifying and developing key talent. He is also responsible for all project scheduling, contract negotiations, and client satisfaction.
As a husband and father, Chris enjoys his weekends by spending time with his family, fishing, and traveling.
Heyward combines experience with solid leadership, construction, and a drywall installation background. As a team player, he maintains a strong track record of success in building strong working relationships with staff, internal teams, and customers.
One the job site, you will often find James working side-by-side with his crews and communicating with management and project teams daily to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. His work ethic and attention to detail is always recognized on every job site he works. One of James’ favorite things about working for Grey Interiors is the teams he works with and the company’s commitment to excellence.
Outside of work, James enjoys being outdoors with his wife, playing golf, or catching up on the latest football game.
Joey knew from the first time he sat down with his first Lego set as a child and drafting his first building as a high school student, that he had a career in construction. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management at ECU, it was time to make that childhood dream a reality. Joey brings 12+ years of experie nce and a vast array of industry expertise to Grey Interiors.
Most who meet Joey quickly pick up that he is an industry “mover and shaker.” He is most motivated by the excitement of starting a new site build and leading it through to completion. In addition to his degree, Joey has completed his OSHA 30 training and AIC Level 1 certification by the American Institute of Constructors.
When Joey is not on the job site or in the office, you can often find him spending time with his wife, child, and three Labrador Retrievers – unless of course, he is at the beach surfing.
As a local to Wilmington, Maddi is excited about the growth in her hometown and even more excited to be a part of that growth. She has been in the construction industry for 5 years but grew up around her family’s electrical business.
Maddi was drawn to Grey Interiors for the culture and brings a passion for seeing projects through from start to finish. She leads the pack in assisting with project start up, all things financial and project completion. Maddi thrives on the teamwork aspect at Grey Interiors while using effective communication and ensuring operational functions are accomplished with the customers and clients needs at the forefront. Her training includes Procore Certification and OHSA 10 Certification but she is most proud of her ability to tackle new challenges head on.
When Maddi is not in the office or onsite, you can find her spending time with her husband and 2 children. Activities they enjoy include going to the beach, anything that involves getting outdoors, cooking and listening to music together.
Michael is a US Navy Vet who brings 20+ years of construction experience, from Carpenter to Licensed Builder in the State of Michigan. His commitment to customer satisfaction, keen eye for safety, quality, and drive for excellence across all his projects is the key to his continued success.
As one of the newest team members of Grey Interiors, Michael has already proven himself to be a “roll up the sleeves and get it done” leader. One of Michael’s greatest strengths is his ability to motivate others and lead crews by working as an example and establishing clear expectations of high-quality workmanship. In addition to his vast construction experience, Michael has earned a Certificate in Project Management Fundamentals.
When Michael is not managing job sites, he is spending time with his wife and son, or enjoying time camping, hiking, word working, or golfing.
As a Wilmington native, Michael takes pride in the work he does in his own community. His background includes both commercial and residential construction.
If you meet Michael and wonder if you have ever seen him on a fire truck or diving off a vessel before, the answer is likely yes! Before entering the construction field, Michael has held a broad range of experiences, including Fire Fighter and Dive Master! It was his desire to build that led him to the construction industry. He enjoys the challenge that every new project brings. Michael has also completed the OSHA 30 training program.
Michael brings a natural talent for making the impossible, possible. The root of his success has been his skill in identifying potential issues and create innovative and out-of-the-box solutions. He brings high energy and a great outlook to every job site he works. When Michael is not running projects, you can often find him at the beach either catching a wave, going in for a dive, or fishing off the surf.
Randy came to Grey Interiors straight out of college. After 4 years, he has progressed from the role of Assistant Superintendent to Project Manager. His hard work and willingness to tackle any aspect of a project make him an integral part of the Grey Interiors team.
Randy assists in the day to day of running projects both onsite and off, managing a team of Grey Interiors Superintendents and Subcontractors.
He is committed to upholding the company's reputation for excellence through focuses on safety, budgets, and scheduling.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, working with his dogs, hunting, and boating.
As Director of Purchasing at Grey Interiors, Todd plays a critical role in shaping the company’s procurement strategy and ensuring a seamless flow of materials to projects.
Two decades of experience on the distribution side of the industry has given him valuable insights into the supply chain and built strong relationships with vendors.
